Reduced to a manageable size he escapes in New York and in the last few issues the Fantastic Four and the Avengers join forces to save New York and the Empire State Building. Then he is taken into space and used as a pawn between 2 warring races where he faces the Beta-Beast, on return to Earth 3 mega-monsters lie in wait for him.īack on Earth he wanders into a dispute involving cattle rustling and an almost "Valley of Gwangi" style attempt to capture him before someone comes up with a bright idea to nobble him, assisted by size-changing Avenger Hank Pym. There are a succession of weird giant monsters starting with Batragon and a few minor creatures, Yetrigar -a huge Yeti like creature (Godzilla is helped here by the giant robot Red Ronin manned by young Rob Takiguchi). leaves them both looking foolish as the giant wades away.
